DH Record Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Dumpster Hill, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the DH Record mobile application ("App").

Key Principle: DH Record is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. Videos you record and preferences you set stay on your device.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

DH Record does not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Your device identifiers
• The video or audio you record
• Your location, except as described in the optional feature in Section 5
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to us
• Advertising IDs or tracking identifiers

We have no servers, no accounts, and no backend. There is nothing to collect.

3. What Stays on Your Device

All content in DH Record — recorded videos, settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device, in your device's standard media library. None of this content is accessible to us or any third party.

• DH Record uses your device's standard storage mechanisms
• Data remains under your complete control at all times
• Data is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App

4. Permissions

DH Record requests access to your device's camera and microphone. These permissions are used solely to record video and audio at your direction, and only while you are actively recording. No recorded content, camera feed, or audio is ever sent to us.

If you choose to enable the optional location overlay feature, DH Record will also request access to your device's location. See Section 5 for details on how location data is used.

5. Location Data (Optional Feature)

DH Record includes an optional feature, available as part of our Pro features, that overlays your GPS coordinates onto your video as it is recorded. This feature is off by default and only requests location access if you explicitly enable it in Settings.

When enabled, your device's location is used only for the duration of an active recording, in order to display it on the video itself. Location updates stop as soon as recording stops. Your location is never transmitted to us, stored on any server, or used for any purpose other than displaying it in the recording you are actively making. It exists only as pixels burned into the video file saved on your own device.

GPS accuracy can vary based on your device, environment, and signal conditions (for example, indoors or in areas with weak signal). We make no guarantee regarding the precision of any location displayed.

You can disable this feature at any time in Settings, and you can revoke location permission at any time through your device's system settings.

6. In-App Purchases

If you choose to purchase optional Pro Features, that transaction is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment information. Google's handling of purchase-related data is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy, not this one.

7. Sharing

When you share or export a video from DH Record (for example, to send it to someone else or upload it elsewhere), you are sharing it directly from your device to the destination you choose. DH Record does not transmit, process, or have any visibility into that transfer. The privacy policies of those third-party destinations govern what happens once shared.

8. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any user data to third parties because we do not have access to your data.

• No data is transmitted to our servers
• No data is shared with analytics companies
• No data is used for advertising purposes
• No data is sold to third parties

Legal Disclosure: Because we do not collect or store user data, we cannot disclose such information in response to legal requests. All user data remains exclusively on your device.

9. Third-Party Services

DH Record does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services, and no SDKs that collect personal data are included in this app. DH Record uses your device's built-in location services (see Section 5) and Google Play Billing to process optional in-app purchases (see Section 6). Neither is used to send your data to us.

10. Data Security

Your data security depends entirely on your device's security measures:

• Use device lock screens, PINs, or biometric authentication
• Keep your device's operating system updated

Our security posture:

• The App does not transmit your recordings, location, or preferences
• No user accounts or passwords are required
• No central database exists that could be compromised

11. User Rights and Control

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: View all your recordings through the App or your device's gallery/files app
• Deletion: Delete any recording through the App or your device's gallery, or uninstall to remove app settings
• Export: Share any recording to any destination you choose
• Location: Disable the location overlay feature or revoke location permission at any time

12. Children's Privacy

DH Record does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since we collect no information from anyone, this applies universally.

13. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above and note the changes in the app's release notes. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
