1. Introduction

Dumpster Hill, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the DH Reader mobile application ("App").

Key Principle: DH Reader is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. Articles you save, folders you create, and your reading preferences stay on your device unless you specifically choose otherwise.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

DH Reader does not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Your location or device identifiers
• The articles you read or save
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to us
• Advertising IDs or tracking identifiers

We have no servers, no accounts, and no backend. There is nothing to collect.

3. What Stays on Your Device

All content in DH Reader — saved articles, folders, reading preferences, and settings — is stored locally on your device. None of this content is accessible to us or any third party.

• DH Reader uses your device's standard storage mechanisms
• Data remains under your complete control at all times
• Data is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App

4. Permissions

DH Reader requests internet access to fetch the content of articles you choose to open or share into the App. This is used solely to retrieve the webpage you've requested, so the App can extract and display its text. No article content, browsing activity, or personal data is sent to us as part of this process.

5. Text-to-Speech and the One Exception

DH Reader can read articles aloud using text-to-speech voices installed on your device. Most of these voices work entirely offline, and using them keeps everything on your device, consistent with the rest of this policy.

Some voices, however, require an internet connection to work. These are clearly labeled "Requires internet" wherever you select a voice. If you choose one of these voices, the text of the article you're listening to is sent to that voice provider's remote service in order to generate speech. This is the one circumstance in which content leaves your device, and it only happens if you deliberately select such a voice. We recommend reviewing the privacy practices of any third-party voice engine you choose to use this way.

6. Sharing

When you share an article from DH Reader (for example, to send a link to someone else), you are sharing it directly from your device to the destination you choose. DH Reader does not transmit, process, or have any visibility into that transfer. The privacy policies of those third-party services govern what happens once shared.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any user data to third parties because we do not have access to your data.

• No data is transmitted to our servers
• No data is shared with analytics companies
• No data is used for advertising purposes
• No data is sold to third parties

Legal Disclosure: Because we do not collect or store user data, we cannot disclose such information in response to legal requests. All user data remains exclusively on your device, with the limited text-to-speech exception described in Section 5.

8. Third-Party Services

DH Reader does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services, and no SDKs that collect data are included in this app. DH Reader can use text-to-speech engines installed on your device by you, including ones from other developers. We do not control how those engines handle data; see Section 5 for the one case where this is relevant.

9. Data Security

Your data security depends entirely on your device's security measures:

• Use device lock screens, PINs, or biometric authentication
• Keep your device's operating system updated

Our security posture:

• The App does not transmit your saved content or preferences
• No user accounts or passwords are required
• No central database exists that could be compromised

10. User Rights and Control

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: View all your saved articles and folders through the App
• Deletion: Delete any article or folder through the App, or uninstall to remove all data
• Export: Share articles to any destination you choose

11. Children's Privacy

DH Reader does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since we collect no information from anyone, this applies universally.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above and note the changes in the app's release notes. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
